Christmas update

Man I am so slow on updating this thing these days.

Despite having to work and therefore postpone the typical Christmas morning stuff, Christmas turned out pretty darn good.

Dad came and got me at work and drove me back to my place since I crashed at their place the night before. I was met by two very annoyed cats but they were quickly made happy by food and the opening of their new cardboard castle. I'm interested to see how long this one lasts, as it stands Stormie has yet to start gnawing on it.

After getting changed I headed back with Dad to their place. We did stockings first, starting with Maggie then the three of us. I got some neat little things and my Dad had a huge laugh by putting an actual hunk of coal (something he got from Ontario years ago) in my stocking :P. After stockings we paused for dinner which I enjoyed with I only had to share my mom's famous stuffed pasta shells (My absolute favourite food) with Mom and Dad and no one else. I even sang a little song while I was serving myself about not having to share :) I doubt it would catch on.

After dinner we used my Dad's laptop to place a video call to Graeme and Melissa. It was awesome. We stayed connected the entire time we were opening gifts and it made it much better then if it was just me, Mom and Dad.

As for my haul I got:
A wireless router- NO MORE CABLES (once I get it set up)
a device that allows you to connect your VCR to your computer in order to transfer VHS tapes to DVD- gonna have a lot of fun with that
A hot chocolate maker and hot chocolate (from Graeme and Melissa)
A snuggee rip-off called the cuddlee which I actually really like (again from Graeme and melissa)
Printer ink
A neat mug that when its filled with hot liquid a picture of my cousin's baby appears :)
A cat organizer
and some other odds and ends- gift certificates and the like

Dad gave Mom this amazing Robert bateman print. They've already put it up. I have to remember to tell Mom that when they do eventually downsize to a condo or something I really want most of her artwork...although that might prompt her into more nagging ie how I have to much stuff on my walls...so better to keep quite lol

Now I'm just having a quite night in with the cats for New Years. Sadly I have to work tomorrow (yay time and a half) so I won't get to go to my cousin's open house. But my birthday is coming up so there's likely to be a family party. I'm having my own shindig on the 23rd. I was kinda shocked to see a friend of mine clicked that she wasn't coming. I mean she may be working, but even then she could come afterwards, especially since her work is like 5 minutes from my house. I just hope this doesn't mean her husband (also a good friend) won't come either....cause that would suck

Okay, that's all for now. I'm thinking maybe my New Years resolution should be to start updating this damn thing more then once every 2 weeks lol

Happy New Year everyone! I wish you all the best for the coming year.
